Continually improving our approach to health and safety is deeply engrained within the ethos of Phoenix Engineering. We have always believed that the safety and wellbeing of anyone visiting or working on our construction sites or at our office and fabrication unit are of utmost importance.

We have many systems in place to ensure all are made aware of their responsibilities and company practices. Accreditation to CHAS, Safe Contractor and PICS acknowledges our commitment in this area. All staff have access to specialist safety advisors and larger contracts have independent safety inspections. Nonetheless, ongoing improvements can always be made in order to aspire to an accident free working environment.

As part of this improvement process we will be rolling out a new health and safety initiative that will be targeted at employees, sub-contractors and clients, with the intention to instil a collaborative approach to health and safety, with the emphasis on behavioural changes. Our “Promoting Safe Behaviour in the Work Place” initiative will be open to Phoenix employees, sub-contractors and clients to take part and will incentivise all to embrace the “stop and think” and “Don’t Walk By” attitudes through positive reinforcement and an open collaborative approach to health and safety.
