As we turn the page into 2024, we’re excited to reconnect with our community through the Phoenix Engineers website. We realize it’s been a while since our last update, but rest assured, our silence has not been in vain. Phoenix Engineers has been buzzing with activity, undergoing significant transformations and laying down new foundations for a thriving future. Let’s dive into the remarkable journey of evolution that marked our 2023.

Embracing Change, Fostering Innovation

The past year has been a period of profound reorganization for Phoenix Engineers, culminating in a restructure that positions us perfectly for the year ahead. We’ve embraced the shifting dynamics of the modern workplace, transitioning to a model that prioritizes flexibility and efficiency. “Teams” meetings have become the new norm for our internal and client meetings, replacing traditional face-to-face interactions and reflecting our commitment to leveraging technology for seamless collaboration.

A New Approach to Work

Our staff expressed a strong preference for a hybrid work model, combining the convenience of working from home with the collaborative benefits of office time. This feedback was instrumental in reshaping our operational strategy.

Our expansive offices at Scarne, were reevaluated in light of our new working practices. Coupled with a strategic decision to reduce our stock holding, this led us to the conclusion that the large premises were no longer necessary.

Streamlining for Agility

In a move to align our physical footprint with our operational needs, Phoenix has transitioned to smaller office spaces. This shift has not only optimized our work environment but also allowed us to conclude the lease on our larger store warehouse. Furthermore, recognizing the evolving needs of our operations, we made the decision to let go of the fabrication unit lease at the close of last year. We continue to offer complete design and build packages, using our trusted partners to sub-contract this part of the work.

Altogether, these changes mark a significant milestone in our journey towards greater agility and sustainability plus a much reduced environmental impact.

Welcoming and Parting Ways

Change, as they say, is the only constant. Last year, we bid farewell to two valued members of our team: Tim Robinson, who embarked on a new adventure with a consultancy, and Di Bellamy, who joined a property letting company. Their contributions to Phoenix have been invaluable, and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours. On a brighter note, we welcomed back Helen Gribble into the Phoenix fold. Taking on the roles of admin and accountancy, Helen’s return has injected fresh energy and expertise into our operations.

Looking Forward

As we navigate the waters of this new era, Phoenix Engineers remains deeply committed to innovation, excellence, and the wellbeing of our team. Our restructured organization, coupled with a strategic shift in our operational model, sets the stage for a year of growth, opportunities, and continued success.

We’re excited about the future and look forward to sharing our journey with you. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to evolve, adapt, and thrive in this ever-changing landscape.

Here’s to a bright and prosperous 2024 for the Phoenix Engineers family and all our stakeholders!
